From 29th to 31st May 2013 a delegation from Piwniczna Zdroj (Poland) visited the area of Ovidiopol. The purpose of the visit was signing of a Polish treaty of friendship and cooperation between the village of Ovidiopol and the city commune Piwniczna-Zdroj. The contract was signed on 30 May 2013 in Ovidiopol village council.
During their first day they visited Ovidiopol school, a kindergarten "Kalinka", Sports Palace of V.I. Dukova. Particular interest also aroused about the excavations that holds the Exteam company together with the Lower Dniester expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the ruins of the fortress Adzhider. Guests bombarded with questions the leaders of the research "Expedition 53" about foundlings during search operations, fragments of ancient Greek amphorae, forged nails of the 18th century, and the sleeves of the Great Patriotic War. Delegation gladly indulged in photographing at the site, located on the coast of the Dniester estuary. Most Polish visitors were surprised by the scale of archaeological expedition, impressive tent city with all facilities, as well as the number of involved professionals and search equipment. Guests expressed their wish to return here in a couple of months as tourists to join themselves in to the interesting work of archaeologists and make their own contribution to the study of the history of the southern Black sea coast.
