The work of our center is based on the "three pillars":
1. Romans said: who knows the past - can understand the present and anticipate the future. Famously said, was to teach children respectful of their history. The study and confirmation of certain historical facts on the basis of archaeological surveys - the most important and the most accurate part of the knowledge of the culture of our ancestors, their aspirations and beliefs.
2. Along with the growing interest of people in the history of his people, it is necessary to inculcate respect for archaeological sites and reach people need to protect them for future generations. Government or academic institutions are not able to protect the heritage of the past from the impending urbanization without the commitment, properly educated society. Therefore, we are open to both public organizations and research communities, as well as for business and just care about people who are ready to provide all possible assistance in this project.
3. Open scientific debate in the course of search operations - our main goal. In disputes the truth is born, so if you have something to say or show to make the view of the events of the past more attentive, and most importantly accurate - you are welcome to our excavation!
We are trying to attract all kinds of people, so that scientific work would be feeding from the outside and held in good condition. Our task is to create an enabling environment for any enthusiast interested in archeology , so that everyone had the opportunity to touch with their hands ancient history and feel themselves a part of the tight-knit community of like-minded. Everyone should be able to translate their aspirations into reality!
Another problem is , where and how to find money in our difficult times, when the history and archeology firmly entrenched at the bottom of the budget list. The only one way out is to unite around the project those people, who will be able to move the scientific work forward by their labor, by equipment , by funds, and some skills . Another method, which is widely popular in Europe, to attract tourists in the expedition, the profits from which are accumulated to the necessary funds for research. A similar problem we will try to solve in our new project «Expedition 53» on the excavations of ancient settlements on the banks of Ovid and in place of the fortress Adzhider.
An educational component is also playing a considerable role in this. Bookmarking correct principles of life in the younger generation - is also an important task, which in many ways is feasible in our difficult task. Captivating search work and constant communication among people who know the history, forms a worldview in children , along with respect for the history of their country and nation.
Another theme for discussion is a student life, in which such projects take a good part. Inquiring mind and indomitable energy, under the close supervision of experts – isn`t it the best conditions for self-realization and perfection? Everything is here for young people who are trying to find their place in life and tries to embody an insatiable craving for "romance " in a real, tangible results! After all, we are looking for ancient relics - so will find it!
We are confident that with time the state will also evaluate our work and will be more attentive to this kind of activity. And yet - we are trying to do the work of archaeologists more attractive, through the media, through the World Wide Web and all manner of modern communication we are trying to make a work of archaeologists popular for journalists, filmmakers, photo-and videographers. "TV people" and "filmmakers" based on our work, make spectacular and memorable materials that can win the hearts of audiences from every corner of the planet!
Life in the archaeological expedition is a fairy tale for us and people like us! Day passes in the search and further classification of finds, and in the evening-spending time by the common fire on the coast, in the comfort of a large campground. Isn`t this the romance in all its glory? If you start to think about that - it means you're our man!
